For my RAW Artist showing, it was my intention to present the love and passion I have for photography. I’d spent one entire month taking photo after photo, with the hope that the final product would be something special. I wanted it to be my best work yet. I wanted it to reflect my soul, as well as the soul of my subjects.

I was really proud of what came out of that. I feel that I accomplished that mission. And, thus, I was very excited to present my work at the RAW Artist show: Allure on August, 14, 2014.

I was overwhelmed and honored by all of the love and support that came my way. So many friends and some family, too, came out to the show. I am so grateful for that. It made my heart swell 100 times over.

On a side-note, the show was definitely a learning experience. And there are a few things I would have done differently if given the chance. The biggest obstacle for me was pricing. I’ve never sold my work as fine art, and wasn’t quite sure how to approach that aspect of it. I think I priced it more for a fancy fine art gallery setting, and not an indie art show. Lesson definitely learned.

Overall, the experience was a great one. It was quite terrifying to put myself out there like that, and I did it. Thank you to RAW Artist for all of the exposure!
