I cannot get shit done, it seems. At least in the Gina Mizzoni Photography blogging department. 

I hate saying I’m going to do something and, then, failing miserably in that pursuit. It sucks majorly. People have called me tenacious, a go-getter, Type A personality (thank you?), determined and many other similar things. And, sure… I am. But when it comes to maintaining my own damn blog, it seems I cannot get shit done. I feel like a failure and I can’t stand feeling like a failure.

One of my major obstacles is not having access to my photography when I’m blogging. 85% of my blogging takes place during my lunch break. I’m away from home and, thus, not near my photos. So, I have to create these stupid little graphics for the posts (on Pixlr, no less!)… which feels silly because I’m a photographer and there should be a photograph with every post. Right? RIGHT?!  (I know! I know! Screw rules! But it bothers me, nonetheless.)

Another challenge is that I don’t take nearly as many photos as I should be. I should be shooting every single day. I should have a plethora of images. (Yuck! The word “should” sucks!) But, I’m not. I’d rather not carry a $3,000 camera around with me all day. Call me crazy, but it just doesn’t seem practical. Plus, it’s heavy. I prefer to keep my camera away from my 9-to-5, Monday – Friday life. (But, know that one day it will be the CENTER of my 9-to-5 life.) Yes, I know, there’s always Google Drive. But, I still don’t think that would solve my problem.

So, what can I do? There has to be a solution, right? But, of course there is! I think the root of the issue is not having a compact camera that I can just keep in my purse. It’s time to start saving up for a compact mirrorless camera that will make blogging so much easier. Even if it means that my next dream lens might take a little longer to save up for. A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. Right? Of course!
