Photography For a Cause: FUPI Pet Adoption

FUPI stands for “Foreclosed Upon Pets, Inc.” and, according to their website, is “a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue of domesticated animals that have been abused and/or abandoned by their owners as a result of economic hardship, including home foreclosure, loss of employment, insufficient income, or death and illness.” What makes FUPI so unique is that they place animals into foster homes until they can be adopted into forever homes. And, as a result, the dogs and cats are not stuck in shelters, but instead in the arms of loving foster parents.

Every week, FUPI showcases their cats and dogs up for adoption. Various Pet Smarts hold adoption events with FUPI on Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM. And, FUPI also participates in the many adoption events throughout the year. This past Saturday, I volunteered to take a couple photos of the dogs and cats up for adoption at “Find Your Furry Valentine” event at Bass Pro Shops, and one of the weekly Pet Smart events, which took place at the Decatur/Charleston location.

The fur babies were oh so sweet and lovable. I hope they all find “furever” homes pronto.

Here are a few pics from the events.

All of these dogs and cats need homes. So, if you are interested in adopting anyone you see, please contact FUPI at 702-272-0010 or email forecloseduponpets@hotmail.com.
