More and more people are taking photos of their family (and life) and sharing them via Facebook, instagram and other social networks. And, that’s a good thing. Scratch that – it’s a GREAT thing! The information age has made documenting our lives easy, quick and pretty freakin’ addictive.
So, why then would someone need to hire a professional photographer? Well, maybe they want photos taken in a studio setting.
For the solely budget-minded, a local department store offers just the type of service they’re looking for. The lighting might be a little bland, the backdrops generic, the poses overused, and the experience definitely far from personalized. But, for them, it’s good enough and does the job.

Even if the client’s session is a more sedentary one, it will still be captured in documentary form, producing still images that are authentic and timeless.

I don’t know about you, but for me, memories are priceless. Sure, I’m not going to hire a custom lifestyle photographer to capture EVERY memory or event. But, for the big moments and life events, I want a custom lifestyle photographer there, telling my story. So, that when I’m old and the dust of my day is beginning to settle, I can look at those images and feel the emotion I felt in those moments. And, so that I will remember my life forever.
There are many affordable options for custom lifestyle photography. But, still, it is an investment. And, it’s not for everyone. I guess it all comes down to which category you fit in. Are you the person looking for posed, generic images at pizza pie prices? Or are you yearning for something that costs a little bit more, but is priceless, timeless and worth every penny?
