Skillshare Rocks

Skillshare Rocks! Like seriously!

Last night, I took my first online Skillshare course – Programming Concepts in Laymen’s Terms. My reason for taking this course is to have a better understanding of programming. At least, just the basics. I have a pretty fundamental knowledge of basic HTML. But, not the other fancy schmancy stuff.

Basic development logic principles, learning how to read code, tools to use when you’re ready to code, and how to communicate to a developer are just a few of the topics covered.

I have a million ideas for my website, so it will be great to have the ability to implement those ideas by knowing how to proceed. And, by that I mean, even knowing which questions to post in a forum when I get stuck with making changes to my theme. Or, knowing what type of a programmer I need to hire for a particular task. Or, choosing an area of programming I like, and expanding my knowledge in that area.

Also, on a side-note – the instructor of the course is Skillshare Co-founder Malcom Ong. That’s pretty cool, right? And, he truly does explain the topic in “laymen’s terms.”

Check out a Skillshare class. They’ve got tons of different ones. Knowledge is power, yo!
