Autumn is time for reflection

Autumn is time for reflection

October, man, you came fast! And, I’m starting to freak out a bit as I realize just how much is left undone. The clock is ticking and 2016 will be here before I know it.

As I try to catch my breath, I remind myself that it’s okay. There are still two whole months and most of this one to make the most of.

I channel my own inner, all-knowing oracle who tells me to take a deep breath and just be. Just be. Just be. Just be.

I try to listen. I stumble again and again. But I am always able to pull myself back up. And if I really think about it, there’s a lot to be proud of and grateful for.

Autumn is time for reflection-driven action. We look back at those dreams, goals and intentions that we set at the beginning of the year and assess our progress.

We ask ourselves…

  • What have I learned this year?
  • Have I accomplished everything I’ve wanted to? Why or why not?
  • What’s still left to be done?
  • What’s most important?
  • Am I living a life I’m proud of? Why or why not?
  • Am I selling myself short and, if so, what can I do to change that?
  • What’s been keeping me back?
  • How can I maximize the remaining months to get the most out of 2015?

This last quarter of the year gives us the opportunity to tie up loose ends, and really set our priorities straight as we let go of the unnecessary crap weighing us down. It’s important to not get sucked into the wouldas, couldas and shouldas, because that will just paralyze us and restrict forward movement. If we look close enough, we’ll see that there is much to be proud of, much to celebrate. And that will help give us the positive push toward ending 2015 on a very positive note.

If you feel like that’s not possible, email me. Just email me. I can help you find the silver lining. Not because I am a psychologist, or a life coach or an all-knower of life (I am none of those things). I’m just an average, everyday person who sees the good in others and the positive in every situation, and I just want everyone to be happy. Genuinely happy. So, I strive to help others see the magic – through pictures or words. Or hugs.

So, take that for what it’s worth.

Have no regrets, my friends. Have. No. Regrets. Ever.

Peace out.
