In Autumn Mojave Desert: A Recap

Autumn comes and goes quickly here in the Mojave Desert. Sandwiched between sweltering summer days and pretty damn cold winter nights, it’s a little slice of heaven. Temperature highs ranging from about 60 to 70 degrees with a rejuvenating breeze… yep, that’s autumn. And I LOVE it. All of my life spent here, and you can say I am quite cognizant of the brevity of this dear season. It’s during such days that I try to remind myself to live in the moment. (Confession: I haven’t lived in the moment as much as I’d like, these days. But, I’m certainly going to try. )

For the Bear and I, it’s been a fast-paced fall season this time around. Non-stop visitors, guests from out of town, birthdays and dinner parties – all while trying to build our businesses. But, things are starting to slow down in the social arena, allowing for more time to dream BIG, to make things happen.

It’s taken me months and months to get to where I am right now in my business – a place filled with more wisdom and insight, and goals. I hadn’t been maximizing my resources (time, especially) to their fullest potential. But, now I finally can. Because I have a better idea of how.

I have been failing miserably in the blogging category, but I promise my time has been spent wisely. Hey, I’ve been figuring stuff out, right? Personal and businesswise. And, I’ve been busy enjoying a few amazing autumn days…

Like, the day that mom and I headed up to Mount Charleston for a nice hike. I showed her my favorite tree. It was a beautiful.

Like, the day I had a booth at my neighborhood’s local Community Day, during which I had a cute little photo booth and offered complimentary photos. (They weren’t works of art by any means, nor representative of my custom photography work. Just a fun way to introduce myself to my neighbors.)

Yes, these are the days of Autumn Mojave Desert.  They won’t last long, but I’m going to enjoy ’em while they’re here. <3
